100 Word Challenge Week 19

Haunted house

Walking into the so called "haunted house", Sierra gripped my hand tightly.

"Sierra!" I hissed, "it's not haunted."

"I know it's just..." She couldn't finish her sentence partly because I was about to cut her off, but also because she screamed claiming she saw a ghost.

"Come on Sierra," I breathed, getting just a little bit scared.

We walked into the kitchen as the flame flickered and then went out on the stove. We walked over and pulled open the oven. Only to find a cake that read, "You made it out of play lands haunted house!"

100 Word Challenge Week 18

The Storm

Lauren, Sierra, and I swam from for hours in Sierra's pool. Once we were done we put on our matching orange onzie pyjamas and went into the basement to watch a movie, but silence washed over us as lightening lit up the sky and thunder shook our bodies with fear. We huddled in the couch as the lights flickered. Then flickered again. Then it all went black. Creeeeek. The door opened and we all squished closer and tighter together.
Suddenly, "Aggghh!" We all screamed as the person got closer and the lights turned on, "Tim!"
"Oh sorry, did I scare you?" Tim smiled mischievously.

100 Word Challenge Week17

                                        I believe in fairies

"There's this stairway," he began, "A beautiful stairway. That led to prison."

"Prison?" I questioned.

"Yep, prison." He continued, "For fairies!"

"Grandpa," I whined, " I'm not five, I don't believe in fairies!"

"You might not believe in them, but they're always there." He said mysteriously.

                                                               .              .               .

That was a conversation I had ten years ago. Now I'm standing at the top of the beautiful stairway. At the door way to to fairy prison, guarding all of the fairy prisoners. Tricking all of the fairies into thinking that this prison will be okay. Also giving them their last breathe of fresh air. Although some of the fairies don't make it to the top...

100 Word Challenge Week16

Campfire

"First campfire of the season!" I excitedly told Sierra and Lauren.

"I can almost smell the roasting marshmallows!" Sierra exclaimed.

"Now we just have to wait until the first star comes out." Lauren stated.

A couple of hours later it was getting dark until suddenly a star popped out of nowhere, then another. Pretty soon the whole night was lit up by twinkling stars.

We all stuffed our mouths with marshmallows and told scary stories until our stomachs ached and the night was at its end. Then we snuggled into our sleeping bags and dozed off at some point.

I was glad I got to spend my fist fire with them.
